Prof. Dr. Nurpudji A. Taslim, MD, MPH, SPGK (K), FRSPH is a distinguished academic and expert in clinical nutrition, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine at Hasanuddin University, Indonesia. With a medical degree (MD), a Master of Public Health (MPH), and board certification in clinical nutrition (SPGK (K)), she has made significant contributions to the fields of nutrition, public health, and medical education. Prof. Taslim is renowned for her leadership in advancing nutritional science, especially in the context of public health and non-communicable disease prevention. Her interdisciplinary approach combines clinical practice with population health strategies, aiming to improve nutritional outcomes in Indonesia and beyond. As a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), she is recognized internationally for her scholarly contributions and dedication to evidence-based public health interventions. Over the course of her career, Prof. Taslim has been actively involved in academic research, policy advocacy, and health system strengthening. She has led and participated in numerous national and international research initiatives and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Her work has significantly influenced nutrition policies, particularly in maternal and child health, community-based interventions, and the double burden of malnutrition. In addition to her academic achievements, Prof. Taslim is a mentor and educator, committed to cultivating future generations of health professionals. Her leadership within the Faculty of Medicine at Hasanuddin University has helped position the institution as a hub for excellence in nutrition education and research.

Bonglee Kim, M.D., Ph.D

Dr. Bonglee Kim is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology, College of Korean Medicine, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea. He also serves as the Chair of the Department of Cancer Prevention Material Development and Group Leader at the Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Reinterpretation Cancer Research Center. Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Kyung Hee University and completed postdoctoral research at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the United States, where he specialized in anti-cancer molecular pathways. His research expertise includes cancer prevention, drug development based on natural products, molecular oncology, and bioinformatics. Dr. Kim has published extensively in international journals, holds numerous patents related to cancer therapies using traditional herbal medicines, and actively serves as a guest editor and editorial board member for several leading scientific journals. His work bridges traditional knowledge with modern biomedical innovation, aiming to develop new therapeutic strategies for cancer and chronic diseases.

Dr. Rumesh Liyanage obtained a BSc special degree in Food Science and Technology in 2014 and completed his PhD, USJ, Sri Lanka. in the same field in 2018. Dr. Liyanage has been an integral part of the Faculty of Technology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura since 2019, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer (grade II) in the Department of Biosystems Technology, Faculty of Technology, USJ.

Throughout his academic and professional journey, Dr. Liyanage has actively engaged in various national and international projects and programs. One of Dr. Liyanage’s significant contributions is his successful supervision of Ph.D. and M.Phil. research programs both Sri Lanka and with the global institutions. Beyond academia, he remains actively involved in industrial activities, fostering a strong connection between academic research and practical applications in the food processing sector.

Dr. Liyanage is passionate about exploring emerging food processing technologies and engaging in multidisciplinary research. His commitment to conducting collaborations, both in terms of research and projects, underscores his dedication to advancing the field. This passion aligns with his interest in staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the food industry.

In addition to his academic and research roles, Dr. Liyanage serves as a resource person in curriculum development and revisions in several institutions and extends the expertise for school program developments, industrial workshops, and Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) training within the sector. Through these activities, he actively contributes to the growth and development of education and industry in the field of Food Processing Technology.

Prof. Fook Yee Chye

Dr. Fook Yee Chye is a full Professor at the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. His areas of expertise are food safety, fermentation, probiotics, and food innovation. Professor Chye is currently the head of Food Security Research Lab. He has won several prestigious international and national research innovation awards and a few patents of inventions and trademarks have been registered as research outputs. He serves as editorial board member for various WoS/Scopus indexed journals in the field of food science and nutrition from the reputable publishers (Elsevier, Springer, etc.). Professor Chye is currently serving as panel evaluator for several national/international research grants and innovation schemes. Besides, he is also a panel assessor of Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) that accredits and recognizes academic program at undergraduate and postgraduate levels offered by institutes of higher learning in Malaysia.

Prof. Dr. Suryani As’ad MSc Sp.GK(K)

Prof. Suryani As’ad is a Professor of Nutrition and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at Universitas Muslim Indonesia, while also serving as Director of the Health and Nutrition Clinic at Hasanuddin University. With over three decades of academic and clinical experience, she has made significant contributions in nutrition science, metabolic health, and public health research. She has led numerous studies on functional foods, clinical nutrition interventions, and maternal and child health, with her recent work focusing on therapeutic nutrition, wound healing, and obesity management.

Beyond academia, Prof. As’ad has held key leadership roles, including Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Scientific Publication at Hasanuddin University and Chief of the Health Research Ethics Commission. Her active involvement in national and international scientific bodies underscores her commitment to advancing health research and improving community well-being.

Prof. Asim K Duttaroy

Professor of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo,

Prof. Asim K. Duttaroy is a globally recognized nutrition scientist with over 500 scientific publications, several international patents, and an h-index of 65. He is best known for his pioneering research on cardiovascular health, including the development of FruitflowĀ®, the first product in Europe to receive an approved EFSA health claim, now marketed in more than 75 countries. His work also explores functional foods, prenatal nutrition, placental fatty acid transport, and long-term health impacts of early life exposures. Prof. Duttaroy has supervised over 35 Ph.D. and M.D. students, delivered more than 150 invited lectures worldwide, and continues to serve as a leading figure in advancing global nutrition science.

Isanka P.Gamage is the Co-founder and Managing Director of The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) Based in Sri Lanka. He is the founding manager of three international journals and has served as the Conference Convener for over 350 international Conferences organized in 8 Countries namely Sri Lanka, China, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and virtually. He has initiated and engaged with many different online and offline knowledge-sharing platforms to make a sustainable future. In his journey thus far, he has had the privilege to closely work with many world-renowned personalities as the Nobel Laureates, Subject Gurus, and also with over 450 International universities and has been in the lights of more than 2000 leading Professors across the globe on several fields of study. He has also had the honor of working with the Ministries, Diplomats, industry professionals, and international organizations in different countries.

As a founding member and CEO of a few consortiums and associations in Education, Public Health, Environment, Women and Gender, Social Sciences, Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Disability and Rehabilitation, he is serving to Asian and African regions to achieve their Sustainable Development Goals by connecting his network in Western countries and trying to implement the concept of knowledge diplomacy.

He is a life coach and mentoring practitioner with Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP). And also, he is conducting mindfulness training programs locally and internationally.

He is reading for Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. He has completed the Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) and BSc Marketing. He also has a Bachelor of Therapeutic Counseling from The Open International University for Complementary Medicines.
